STUDY PROGRAMME

What I would like to change about my study program in journalism is that the degree would focus much more on corporate journalism, teaching digital strategies, how to use advanced editing software, marketing, social media management and internal and external communication of companies. It would also be very good if there were workshops focused on public speaking, teaching how to speak in front of a camera and to have more personality. Another thing the authorities should add is a plan to guide students to look for jobs in the areas we choose because I feel that with the help of the university it would be much easier. On the other hand, I think that the length of the journalism degree is good, I feel that in five years we can learn a lot about communication and its nuances because the rest is learned through work experience and as for the infrastructure of the university I am quite satisfied because it meets my expectations, it is quite a big space, very nice and has many green spots. When I'm 30

In 2031 I will be 30 years old and now I would like to make a time jump to that moment because when I will be that age I will have graduated in journalism, I will be working, studying a postgraduate degree, I will have a very nice house and I will feel very satisfied with my life.  Also, at that age I will be independent and the decisions I make will only be influenced by me and not by my family. But if I'm honest, I'm not sure I want to stay at that time because I'm enjoying my 20s, where I don't have so many responsibilities as an adult, so I think I would only go for a few months and I'm not sure I'll be in Santiago de Chile in the future because if I have the possibility to leave the country for a job opportunity, I will do it.  Sometimes that scares me because I will leave my family and I don't know if I will still be with my partner during that time, but I still feel sad to separate because of the distance. Student mobilizations in China

I chose the student mobilisations in China because it is a country I don't know much about and it has a great history like what happened on 15 April 1989. When Hu Yaobang, the former Communist Party leader, passed away. Hu had worked to push China towards a more open political system and had become a symbol of democratic reform. Almost a month later, thousands of students began a hunger strike in Tiananmen Square demanding greater freedoms, an end to corruption and improvements in education. Later, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, Zhao Ziyang, called for an end to the demonstrations.  China interrupted live US news broadcasts from Beijing and on 4 June 1989, Chinese troops arrived in Tiananmen Square and fired on civilians and students, ending the demonstrations. My cat Luna

That was in 2013 and she was with my mother, so we picked her up and took her to the shower. The next day we went to the vet and we thought she was blind but no, she has healthy beautiful green eyes.  Luna has a coat of three colours: blonde, white and black. She has put on a lot of weight in the last few years but her head is still as small as before. Luna likes to meow, play with paper, keep the house very clean and drink fresh water. Sometimes she can be very capricious because she won't stop meowing until I give her what she wants. My favorite TV Show

A TV Show that I used to watch when I was little was “Malcolm in the Middle”, this was about a gifted teenager named Malcolm who had a dysfunctional family made up of his parents, Hal and Lois and his brothers, Dewey, Reese and Francis, who they lived in a suburban neighborhood in the United States. The older brother is was Francis and he was sent to military school which makes "Malcolm the middle" brother in the house. In each episode we could see how the protagonist tries to survive the difficulties of being a teenager, bullying at school, eccentricities from his family and his friendship with Stevie. I remember that to watch the series, I would get up very early because it was broadcast on Canal 13 at weekends and I had a jar of powdered milk, I would sit in the living room and while watching the series I would eat the milk in spoonfuls and I also remember that something I really liked about "Malcolm in the Middle" was the recording of the "fourth wall"...

My favorite vacation

My favorite vacation was in 2018 in San Pedro de Atacama, located in the region of Antofagasta, Chile. With my mother, sister and father we went for two weeks and toured very beautiful tourist places like "El Valle de la Luna", we did trekking in "Pucará de Quitor", we photographed ourselves in the "Ojos del Salar" and the "Lagoon El Cejar" and we had lunch very tasty typical Chilean food in the town of San Pedro de Atacama. This was my favorite vacation because the place was a paradise and at night with my mom we saw the starry sky. I also remember buying some moonstone rings from a hippie craftsman and he said to load them with energy from the moonlight, I still have them and I feel like they have a special vibe.  And what made this trip unique is that I went like a person and came back being another, my way of being changed with the people I met and the experiences I lived in San Pedro de Atacama.

Where will I go?

I would like to go to Ottawa, Canada. If I'm honest with you, when I read the instructions for the task, I didn't know where I wanted to go. So I had to search in the internet for places with the characteristics that I like and I love places with lots of nature, forests and a large lagoon. When I saw Ottawa, it was perfect.   I wanted to go on vacation there to improve my English and I know that the city has an impressive architecture and many museums to visit so I would go to see the works of art.  Also, an interesting fact about Canada is that it is the second largest country in the world after Russia. Its territory covers 9.9 million square kilometers and has 36 million inhabitants, that means 4 people live in each square kilometer and 1 in 5 people are foreigners. So I think I would feel quite comfortable there.  Finally, now I am very excited to keep improving my English!
